Mi-Tech

This project spans 60,000 acres and will produce ~500 MW of renewable energy through 162 2.82 MW and 18 2.32 MW turbines, a total of 180 when  fully complete. Equix has two crews with more than 80 people assigned to the project, and together they have 100-plus years of construction and trenching experience. 

Gpa Mason Mega Rail

Astra is the prime contractor on the $102 million civil and rail expansion for the Port of Savannah’s International Multi-Modal Connector (IMMC) project at the Garden City Terminal near Savannah.  

The 92-acre civil infrastructure portion, which was completed on time in Summer 2019, consisted of providing soil improvements, earthwork, drainage, dewatering and erosion control within and adjacent to the James D. Mason Intermodal Container Transfer Facility (ICTF), the realignment of a portion of Pipemakers Canal, installation of two (2) rail bridges across the realigned canal to accommodate future rail tracks, and the installation of a vehicular bridge across the canal for maintenance.

Upon completion, the Mega Rail project will allow 10,000-foot trains to be loaded on terminal with containers double-stacked, and trains will increase capacity from 500,000 container lifts per year to 1 million.

Big Corkscrew Island Regional Park, a new 59-acre regional park in Naples, is currently under construction. The $46 million first phase includes four (4) soccer fields, two (2) baseball-softball fields, two (2) outdoor basketball courts, two (2) tennis courts, six (6) pickleball courts, two (2) pavilions for concessions, an aquatic center, a playground, a dog park, a community center, a 180′ x 300′ event lawn and a 10′ wide multi-use path with numerous picnic pavilions. The aquatic center features water slides, a competition pool, a family pool, a wading pool and other amenities.
